BY-LAWS
OF MAPLETON SADDLE CLUB
ARTICLE I : Name
The name of this organization is Mapleton
Saddle Club.
The Mapleton Saddle Club is a non-profit organization under the laws
of the state of Kansas.
ARTICLE II : Objectives
To develop and promote good fellowship
among horse lovers.
To encourage, promote and develop the owning, training, and
responsible breeding of grade and pure bred horses.
To promote and develop a) good horsemanship, and b) knowledge and
interest in the care, training, and responsible breeding of good
horses.
To a) cultivate the social life of members, and b) foster the
welfare and enhance the health and happiness of members and other
interested persons by promoting and encouraging the use of and
interest in horses.
To interest and educate the public in the recreational possibilities
and benefits of the use and ownership of horses.
To a) promote and cultivate association and friendly relationships
with similar clubs throughout this county, state and elsewhere, and
b) share information about such clubs.
ARTICLE III: Rules
Members will not use illegal drugs
or alcohol when participating in Mapleton Saddle Club activities.
Members will refrain from using
coarse or offensive language when participating in club activities.
Members will treat each other and
Saddle Club guests with respect at all times.
Members who abuse the rules will be
asked to leave an event or meeting. Repeated offenses will result
in severing the member’s association with the Mapleton Saddle Club.

- Board of directors will be elected at the
April 5th meeting.
Other business:
- Jan Laughlin prepared website and
distributed cards. She has also agreed to create the Membership
Cards for the club.
- Next meeting dues will be collected.
Next meeting:
April 5 at 6:00pm at the Mapleton Community
Center.
