MAPLETON—At yesterday’s election, C.A. Hessong was elected mayor and the

following were elected councilmen: H.R. Morris, Charles Campbell, Arthur Dennis, E.B. Hammons and Charles Holeman. Elected to police judge was Dr. McNaughton.

The family of Kenneth Lee and Rosemary Lalman, Mapleton, announce the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary. A celebration event will be held in the Good News Center at First Baptist Church, 118 North Forest Ave., Chanute, Kan., Sunday, May 30, 2010, at 2 p.m. Open to all.

Kenneth Lee Lalman and Rosemary Sisson were mar­ried April 2, 1960, at Xenia Baptist Church. The couple noted that they have five children, three wonderful daughters- in- law and one great son-in-law, nine beau­tiful grandkids and one on the way!

 

Happy Anniversary     

Joyce and Raymond Hueston, Mapleton, celebrated their 46th wedding.   Monday, March 29, 2010. The couple were married in 1964.

 

  Together they have two children: Mike and Jolene; five grandchildren, Justin, Zak, Raylene,  Kaylyn and Callie; and two great-grandchildren, Colby and Paityn.
