Poker Run May 30, 2009 Mapleton, KS
The Vacation Bible School was held at the Mapleton United Methodist church on May 26 through May 29th.  The Community of Christ & Christian church also participated.
      36 children were in attendance.  The director was Deanna Wier.  Music leaders were Christa Holt and Helen Long.  Craft leaders were Jean Shields and Raylene Crystal.  The playground crew were Scott Free and Zak Hueston.
      Teachers and helpers were Ina Lafferty, Grace Meyers, Sandy Post, Arlene Cathy, Sylva Jenkins, Stacey Cline, Katie Hueston, Lorinda Needham, Amory Miller & Christina Ames.
      Refreshment servers were Joyce Hueston, Eleanor Rogers and Faye Cowan.
     The offering was collected for the Mapleton Park fund.  A challenge was raised by Scott & Zak to raise $200 and they could be pushed into a mud puddle after our picnic on the last day.  More than $200 was made and challenged to $500 for the staff to get mud on their arms.   $500 was made and the staff was mudded.
     The theme  was      Studio Go to Go Lead, Go Risk, Go Obey, and Go Serve God.                                Deanna Wier, Director
