While we were moving my Mother into the senior citizens hi-rise in Ft. Scott this weekend we ran across an old ashtray from the Little Osage Oil Company of Mapleton.  Have no idea what the time frame.  Notice the phone number is 50. Ron Lucus   We found out a little more about this ashtray.  The station was located in the old Gas Station South of the Bank in the early 1950's.  The owners were Olin and Ethel (Mutt) Carpenter.  Later Ethel was Post Master at the Postoffice in Mapleton.
