| Dr. Carol Hines said, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I'm lucky, I guess. I always knew what I wanted to he, even when I was little. I like medicine, and I like animals, I had a lot of pets growing up. "Probably too many," I also likes country life, so we've combined all of those elements into Deer Creek Animal Hospital, located east of Chanute. |

| The small animal veterinary medicine practice opened April 2, 2001 in what was formerly Breiner Country Fireplace Store. The Hines family purchased the property from Mr. and Mrs. Bud Breiner last May. The Breiners now operate their wood stove business in Erie, Kansas. |

| We're not the largest veterinary practice in southeast Kansas and we are sure not the most convenient, but I hope clients will see that we do care for their pets. |
